This Picpoul de Pinet is a super refreshing wine packed full of complex fruit flavours and moreish acidity. The grapes for this Domaine Font-Mars are harvested in the middle of September to obtain full ripeness and then picked at night in order to preserve their refreshing quality. A beautiful light white wine, your perfect summer accompaniment.
It is the very definition of a fresh, dry white wine with soft peach, citrus, pineapple, apple and amazing saline notes. This wine is crisp and bright, with with subtle floral and mineral notes on the finish. Bracing acidity backs up this lively wine.
About the Makers
Domaine Font Mars is owned and run by Jean-Baptiste de Clock. The 55-hectare estate is based within Picpoul de Pinet country, due west of the town of Meze which sits on the Thau lagoon. The estate has 8 hectares of Picpoul itself and makes one of the most exhilarating and fruity examples we have tried.
